Florida Gator Running Back Jeff Demps Left Ankle Sprain is ‘Probable’ For Saturday

College footballs Florida Gators most elusive player, Jeff Demps, is set to play against #1 ranked Alabama this Saturday. Reports state Demps is no longer wearing a protective boot. The fastest player in college, Jeff Demps, bruised his left foot (reports state it’s an ankle sprain) Sept 18 vs Tennessee and then re-injured it last Saturday against Kentucky. Medical examination and tests show there are no ligament damage or broken bones. Florida Coach, Urban Meyer, is taking precaution because Demps is a non-traditional football running back, rather a record breaking Track & Field all-star. Demps could push himself this year into a new breed of running backs at the collegiate and professional.

Pittsburgh Steelers LT Max Starks Out with High Ankle Sprain

Starting left tackle Max Starks of the Pittsburgh Steelers will be out for a month with a high ankle sprain. Max Starks suffered the injury on Sundays opening game vs the Atlanta Falcons when a defender fell on his right leg. Starks was wearing a protective boot after the game.

College Footballs 2010 Heisman Trophy Winner Mark Ingram Out For Alabama Debut

Alabamas junior running back Mark Ingram had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee on Tuesday. Ingram was injured in Monday’s practice. Alabama’s coach, Nick Saban, said Ingram will be evaluated on a weekly basis. Ingram rushed for 1,658 yards and scored 20 touchdowns. Many have anointed Ingram to be the repeat Heisman winner but now having to undergo arthroscopic knee surgery he will be out for at the minimum of 1 game, thus a repeat is doubtful yet still possible!

Chicago Bears MLB Brian Urlacher Injures Left Calf Muscle

The future NFL Hall Of Famer, Brian Urlacher, has injured his left calf muscle in the first quarter against the Oakland Raiders. Chicago Bears medical staff has ruled Urlacher out of the next preseason game vs the Arizona Cardinals. Bears head coach, Lovie Smith, has made a statement that he is making progress but are taking precautions considering Urlachers level of greatness. For years Urlacher has been the best middle linebacker in the NFL but was out all last season due to injury.
